Daily Covid count surges again in Odisha, 1617 fresh cases detected

Bhubaneswar, Oct 29: The daily Covid count surged again in Odisha as the state recorded 1617 fresh cases on Thursday that had dipped to 1247 on Tuesday and surged to 1540 on Wednesday. The total caseload of Odisha climbed to 2,87,099. Of the total fresh cases detected from 30 districts, 941 have been reported from different centres while the remaining 676 are local contact cases. The number of active cases in the state stood at 15,619 while 2,70,130 patients have recovered so far. As many as 13 more persons succumbed to Coronavirus in the state in the last 24 hours.
