Cyclone Yaas: Dharmendra thanks PM Modi for providing financial assistance to Odisha

Bhubaneswar, May 28: Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan today thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for providing financial assistance of Rs 1000 crore, including Rs 500 crore to Odisha for extending immediate relief to people affected by Cyclone Yaas. The Minister said that Narendra Modi’s government is committed to work with state governments and will leave no stone unturned in restoring livelihoods, rehabilitating people affected by the cyclone in Odisha, West Bengal and Jharkhand and in making our states more resilient to natural disasters. Modi visited Odisha and West Bengal to review the situation arising out of Cyclone Yaas. He undertook an aerial survey of the cyclone affected areas in Bhadrak and Balasore districts of Odisha, and Purba Medinipur in West Bengal. Dharmendra accompanied the PM during the aerial survey. In Bhubaneswar, the Prime Minister chaired a meeting to review the relief and rehabilitation measures being undertaken.
