Cyclone 'Asani': Yellow warning for these districts of Odisha

Bhubaneswar, May 9: The severe cyclonic storm 'Asani' is very likely to move northwestwards till Tuesday night and reach Westcentral and adjoining Northwest Bay of Bengal off North Andhra Pradesh and Odisha coasts. The cyclonic storm is likely to intensify into a very severe cyclonic storm in the next 24 hours and it will mostly trigger heavy rainfall in several districts of the State on May 10. As per the Regional Meteorological Centre here of the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the nine districts (Gajapati, Ganjam, Puri, Khordha, Jagatsinghpur, Cuttack, Kendrapara, Bhadrak and Balasore) are likely to experience heavy rainfall due to the cyclonic storm between May 10 and 12.
