Cycle theft gang busted in Odisha, 16 cycles recovered

Cuttack, Nov 12: Cantonment police has busted a cycle theft gang and arrested four members of the gang. Police has also recovered as many as 16 stolen cycles from the gang members. The accused have been identified as Pradeep Kumar Behera (28), Pradyumna Nayak (34), Debraj Behera (39) and Batash Pradhan (23). Police said that the accused are resident of various parts of Cuttack city. Police said that the accused were nabbed on the basis of a complaint filed by a 16-year-old girl. The girl alleged that her cycle was stolen on Tuesday while she had been to the Indoor Stadium for an evening walk. “Subsequently we registered a case and started investigation. The accused were nabbed during the investigation. We are further verifying their antecedents. The accused have been forwarded to the court,” said a police official.
