Cuttack student death case: Two arrested for suicide abetment

Cuttack, Sep 27: Police today arrested two persons in connection with the death of a student of Christ College in Cuttack. The body of Tusharkanta Sahu, who had gone missing was found floating at Jobra Barrage in Mahanadi river last month. Family members of the victim, the Plus II student of Christ College had earlier lodged a police complaint with the Cantonment police station. They alleged that their son has been kidnapped and later killed by his girlfriend’s ex-boyfriend while his missing bike was found near Dhabaleswar ghat. The two accused have been identified as Dibyaranjan Behera and Kaushal Pradhan. Police said that during investigation they found that the victim was mentally, physically tortured. “We have also found the accused of forcing him to commit suicide. We are also investigating the role of his female friend in the incident,” said a police official.
