Cuttack: BJP leaders taken into preventive custody ahead CM's visit

Cuttack, Nov 10: At least hundreds of BJP workers near Trisulia chhak were taken into preventive custody in Cuttack on Wednesday ahead of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik's visit. The activists had staged demonstrations demanding justice for Mamita Meher. The BJP workers on Monday clashed with police near Sishu Bhawan Chhak while taking out a massive rally in protest against Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik’s visit to Kalahandi. Protesting Patnaik’s visit to the city and turning the heat on the Odisha government over the sensational murder case of lady teacher Mamita Meher, hundreds of saffron party workers had joined a procession from Raj Mahal square towards Sishu Bhawan holding black flags and shouting slogans against the Chief Minister.
