Criminal encountered hours after he fired at another person in Ganjam

Bhubaneswar: In a breakthrough, the Aska police managed to nab a hardcore criminal in an exchange of fire between them ensued a few hours after he fired at another person at Pandiapathar village in Ganjam district last night.
According to reports, police started a manhunt to nab Tangiri Dora soon after a complaint was lodged with an allegation that he fired at one Balaram Das and severely injured him. The police intercepted him at a lonely place and asked him to surrender. However, Tangiri opened fire at him and tried to escape. Police soon retaliated with gunshots in which Tangiri was injured.
Police seized a motorcycle and pistol from him. Tangiri has been admitted to a hospital now, added reports.
Balaram, who was critical after being attacked by Tangiri, has now been shifted to the MKCG Medical College and Hospital, Brahmapur.
