New Delhi, April 19: Vaccination will be opened to all above 18 years from May 1. This was announced by the Centre today after PM Narendra Modi’s review on Covid-19 situation in the country.
All adults will be vaccinated and states can buy vaccines directly from makers, the Centre said.
The Government of India has announced that vaccine manufacturers would supply 50% of their monthly doses to Government of India and the remaining 50% doses to States Governments and in the open market.
Modi today interacted with doctors across the country via video conferencing on the Covid-19 issue and vaccination progress.
Modi appreciated the doctors, medical and para-medical staff for their invaluable service towards the country during the coronavirus pandemic.
The PM said that vaccination is the biggest weapon in the fight against coronavirus. He urged the doctors to encourage more and more patients to get vaccinated.
