Covid-19 vaccination drive suspended in 10 districts amid shortage of vaccine

Bhubaneswar, July 10: The vaccination drive at 10 districts of Odisha has been suspended due to shortage of Covishield vaccine. According to a statement issued by the government, no vaccination session has been planned for Balasore, Dhenkanal, Jajpur, Kalahandi, Kendrapada, Koraput, Malkangiri, Nayagarh, Nuapada, and Sonepur districts. However, the state currently has only 59,920 doses of the Covishield vaccine. More than one lakh doses of Covaxin have arrived in the state. As many as 3,93,000 Covaxin stocks are available in the state far. The state will receive 25,31,800 doses of Covishield and 5,19,110 doses of Covaxin.
