Covid-19 situation under control: Odisha CM

Bhubaneswar, Jan 18: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Tuesday said the Covid-19 situation is under control in the state. Reviewing the Covid situation, he urged people not to get scared and follow the Covid guidelines. The Chief Minister also laid emphasis on booster dose for frontline workers including journalists. Following the direction of the Chief Minister, all Covid Hospitals in the state have been made operational and arrangements have been made for medicines and other essential items, said Chief Secretary SC Mahapatra. "Every effort has been made to ensure that people's livelihoods are not affected," he said. There are 11,281 beds for Covid patients in the state, of which only 11 per cent are occupied by the patients. It was informed at the meeting that the state has an ample supply of medicines, oxygen and other essentials.
