Malkangiri, June 3: A Covid-19 infected Maoist has been arrested at Warangal of Telangana. The Maoist has been identified as the senior leader of South Sub-Zonal team Soba Rao. The Maoist leader was hiding in the forest and was caught during a search operation. When the officials asked for identity, he failed to do so. Following which, he was arrested and during interrogation it was revealed that he was the senior leader of South Sub-Zonal team. The officials later sent him for Covid-19 treatment. Earlier, at least 10 Maoists are believed to have succumbed to the virus. Worth mentioning, the officials have arrested three more Maoists who have been infected with the virus. Notably, the officials have appealed to the Maoist leaders suffering from Covid-19 to immediately join the mainstream to get proper treatment.
