Kalahandi, Ap 26: In a tragic incident that has sent shockwaves through the local community, a couple died by suicide by hanging themselves in a tree in Kalahandi district. The heart-wrenching incident occurred in Kaundola village under the Amapani police limits of Kokasara block.
The deceased have been identified as Nitesh Munda, a resident of Kaundola, and a minor girl from the same village belonging to a different caste. The two were said to be in a relationship, but their love faced social hurdles due to caste differences.
Despite their affection for each other, societal pressures and the lack of acceptance from their respective communities are believed to have pushed them to take this extreme step. The duo was found hanging together from a tree.
Being informed, police reached the spot and have started an investigation into the matter.
