New Delhi, Nov 23: Congress leader Kirti Azad is likely to join the Trinamool Congress (TMC) in Delhi on Tuesday. Though Azad has not issued any official statement on the matter, sources close to Azad confirmed this development. Notably, TMC chief and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee is on a visit to Delhi and she is likely to meet Congress president Sonia Gandhi. Azad fought the Lok Sabha polls on a Congress ticket, but could not win. He was earlier with the BJP, but left after differences with the leadership. Azad, a former cricketer, is the son of late Bihar Chief Minister Bhagwat Jha Azad. Last month, two Congress leaders from Uttar Pradesh - Rajeshpati Tripathi and his son Laliteshpati Tripathi joined the Trinamool Congress.
