Bhubaneswar, June 21: The Commissionerate Police has nabbed a fake Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) from Unit-9 in Bhubaneswar on Sunday. A red light mounted Scorpio vehicle and a mobile have been seized from his possession. The DSP-420 has been identified as Jakesh Kumar Mohanty, son of a retired police man who belongs to Koraput district. Police said, Jakesh impersonated himself as a DSP. Accordingly, he groomed his fake identity through the face book. By virtue of which, he was uninterruptedly roaming around the city in a red light fitted scorpio, flouting Corona protocols. At the same time, he was threatening police officials while he was asked to stop at the police check posts. Meanwhile, Police cracked the reality behind his red light on Sunday after he was caught in a drunken condition at Unit-9 late at night. He confessed everything during interrogation. Subsequently, police arrested Jakesh, seized the vehicle and his mobile after booking him under Sections 420 and 419 of IPC.
