Bhubaneswar: Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan today said that the people of Odisha want to know about the coal block allocation case against BJD president and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik.
He also posed three questions to Patnaik in connection with the coal block allocation case during his tenure as Union Coal Minister in 1998.
“Who is GD Daga? Whether CBI had interrogated Naveen Patnaik and why there is no mention of this case in the affidavits Naveen Babu has filed for the elections,” asked Pradhan.
During his tenure as Coal Minister, Patnaik allocated coal block to a ghost company (unregistered company) in April 1998, which was registered in 1999.
“Why had he shown undue favour to such an unregistered company,” Pradhan wanted to know, further alleging that Naveen Babu has not mentioned in his nomination the about CBI interrogation he had undergone in 2017.
