CM to visit Kalahandi tomorrow amid Opposition protest

7/11/2021 at 10:23 PM

Bhubaneswar, Nov 7: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will distribute the Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojana (BSKY) Smart Card during his visit to Kalahandi district tomorrow.

CM Naveen is slated to distribute the BSKY Smart Card to the beneficiaries at the College of Agriculture in Bhawanipatna. Besides, the Chief Minister will inaugurate and lay foundation stones for different developmental projects.

Preparations have reached the final stage and the government functionaries are taking all possible effort for the smooth visit of the CM.

Meanwhile, the blame game has begun in the Kalahandi politics over the Mamita murder case ahead of Chief Minister’s visit to Bhawanipatna on Monday.

While Congress is sensitizing people in the remote pockets over-involvement of top BJD leaders in the murder incident, the BJP is also attacking the ruling party for suppressing the facts.

Senior Congress leader and former MP Bhakta Das has called for a ‘Janata Curfew’ in Kalahandi district on Monday. Das has requested the people of Kalahandi to observe Janata curfew on November 8 to protest CM Naveen’s visit to the district.
