Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will pay a visit to Jharsguda today to lay foundation stone and inaugurate projects of worth Rs 628.66 crore at different places in the district. Besides, he is scheduled to address a huge public rally at Amallipalli.
The projects, which would be inaugurated, include six lift irrigation projects worth Rs 32 lakh to come up in Jharsuguda and Lakhanpur block and two 2X5 MVA 33/11 KV grid substations in Jharsuguda and Kirimira blocks.
The Chief Minister will lay stone for the proposed cancer hospital, which would come up at a cost of Rs 145 crore at Jharsguguda. Four mega water supply projects wourth Rs 388 crore would come up at Jharsuguda, Kolabira, Kirimira and Laikera blocks. Besides, foundation stone would be laid for Choukipada railway over-bridge (Rs 35.62 crore), Nidan Kendra at Jharsuguda (Rs 15 crore) and Amati small lift irrigation project of Rs 18.22 crore.
These apart, Patnaik would distribute assistances among beneficiaries of different schemes.
