Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Thursday prayed to the Lord Jaganath and his siblings Lord Balabhadara and Devi Subhadara at the Srimandir in Puri for well being of people of the State.
“Puri Basinku and Rajya Basinku Nutan Barshara Abhinandan (Best wishes to Puri residents and people of Odisha). Very happy to have visited the Srimandir,” the Chief Minister said after coming out of the Srimandir at about 12.20 pm. He was offered Khanduapata by Daitapatis after the visit.
Later, he moved around the Srimandir in a battery-run car to see the developmental works done there under the World Heritage City plan of his Government.
The Chief Minister is scheduled to inaugurate seven infrastructure projects under the World Heritage plan of the State Government and other schemes during his visit.
He is scheduled to inaugurate seven new projects before leaving for Bhubaneswar.
Notably, the Chief Minister visits the Trinity in the Shree Jaganath Temple every New Year. However, he didn’t visit the temple this New Year in view of passing away of his brother-in-law noted editor Sony Mehta.
