Berhampur: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today dedicated various development projects worth Rs 516 crore, including the much-awaited Berhampur Mega Water Supply Project built at a cost of Rs 431 crore and laid foundation for projects worth Rs 18 crore during his visit to Ganjam district.
A massive water reservoir has been set up at Janibali in Dharakote block. Water from this reservoir will be treated at a purification plant in Jagadalpur in Kukudahandi block. The facility will cater to the drinking water need of the people of Berhampur city.
Besides, the CM also laid foundation stone for 16 projects, including livelihood help centre for transgenders and renovation of Nelia embankment.
