Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Saturday laid foundation stone of 22 industrial projects and inaugurated five more projects from diverse sectors through videoconferencing from Kharvela Bhavan here.
Worth a total of Rs 8939 crore, the projects will create employment for 12,142 people.
The 22 proposed industrial units will come up with an investment of over Rs 6,100 crore. The five newly inaugurated projects were set up with an investment of Rs 2,789 crore.
Among the projects Patnaik inaugurated include electric vehicle assembly plant, cement and mineral sector.
“I am confident that with our single window system, Go-Swift and the revamped policy ecosystem with our investment opportunities showcased, the State will emerge as the most preferred investment destinations in the country,” said Patnaik.
On the occasion, Patnaik also announced the countdown to ‘Make in Odisha 2020’ and launched the 8th phase of groundbreaking of the projects at Kharvela Bhavan. The third edition of ‘Make in Odisha’ conclave will be organised next year from November 30 to December 4.
