Bhubaneswar: With an aim to encourage blood donation, protect environment, and help Odias stranded in foreign countries, BJD president and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Friday announced a new programme of his party – ‘Odisha- Mo Parivar’ (Odisha – My family).
Naveen said that programme will be carried out under the social service programme of the regional party.
For fruitful implementation of the flagship programme he appointed senior party leader and former Mumbai Police Commissioner Arup Patnaik as the convenor of the programme. Party MPs Pinaki Mishra, Chandrasekhar Sahu, Achyut Samant, MLA Atanu Sabyasachi Nayak and Nalinikant Pradhan have been nominated as the co-convenors of the programme.
The Chief Minister asked the party leaders and workers to undertake plantation drive, organise blood donations camps protect environment in the State, help Odias stranded in foreign countries for various reasons.
