CM Mohan Majhi’s flight diverted to Kolkata due to bad weather in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar, Sep 5: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi’s return from New Delhi faced an unexpected disruption on Friday morning due to severe weather conditions in Bhubaneswar.

His Air India flight, AI-473, which was scheduled to land at Biju Patnaik International Airport around 9:40 am, was instead diverted to Kolkata.

According to reports, heavy rainfall and poor visibility over Bhubaneswar made it unsafe for the aircraft to land. As a precaution, the pilot diverted the flight to Kolkata, where it landed safely.

Airport authorities at Biju Patnaik International confirmed that adverse weather temporarily disrupted flight operations, leading to delays and diversions, including that of the Chief Minister’s flight.
