Koraput, July 29: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi is scheduled to visit Koraput on August 9. During his visit, he will distribute the third installment of financial assistance under the Subhadra Yojana from Jeypore and later proceed to Kotia to review ongoing developmental projects in the region.
Deputy Chief Minister Prabhati Parida announced the Chief Minister’s visit through a post on social media platform ‘X’.
Newly appointed Koraput District Collector Manoj Satyavan Mahajan, along with senior officials, conducted a field visit to Bankabija Field on the outskirts of the town, a location close to the railway station. Although the local administration has not issued an official confirmation regarding the visit, sources indicate that the Chief Minister’s public meeting is likely to be held at this venue.
The visit by top officials, including Sub-Collector A. Shashya Reddy, Superintendent of Police Rohit Verma, and SDPO Partha Jagadish Kashyap, followed a district-level grievance redressal hearing held earlier in the day. The team reviewed the proposed meeting site and discussed key aspects of security, traffic regulation, and other logistical preparations.
Further updates on the Chief Minister's itinerary are expected in the coming days.
