Bhubaneswar, July 7: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi is set to hold a public grievance hearing session in Bhawanipatna, located in Odisha's Kalahandi district, in the coming days.
The announcement was made on Monday by Revenue Minister Suresh Pujari, who confirmed that necessary arrangements are being made for the session.
So far, the Chief Minister has conducted 12 grievance redressal sessions across the state—11 in Bhubaneswar and one in Sambalpur. These sessions are part of the ongoing “People’s Chief Minister” initiative aimed at addressing citizens’ concerns directly.
On Monday, CM Majhi presided over the 12th session of this initiative at the Chief Minister’s Grievance Cell in Unit-2, Bhubaneswar. Approximately 1,000 registered complainants participated, seeking resolution of their issues.
During the session, the Chief Minister approved ₹9.5 lakh in financial assistance for 10 individuals suffering from serious health conditions. The aid was provided under the single-window medical assistance system of the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund. So far, a total of ₹53.5 lakh has been sanctioned to 48 beneficiaries through this system.
Since the launch of the grievance redressal initiative, the state has received 10,894 complaints, of which 10,132 have been resolved—achieving a resolution rate of 93%. The remaining cases are currently under review. Citizens can submit their grievances both offline and through digital platforms.
