Sonepur, Nov 25: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has virtually inaugurated the distribution programme of smart health card under Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojana (BSKY) in Sonepur district today. The scheme is aimed at transforming the health services in Odisha.
According to the sources, around 1.5 lakh beneficiaries will be covered under BSKY smart health card scheme in Sonepur district.
In the programme, the Chief Minister has virtually inaugurated and laid the foundation stones of various developmental projects worth Rs 148.40 crore.
Worth mentioning, the BSKY smart health card will entitle the beneficiaries to free treatment at all government hospitals and more than 200 private hospitals of the state.
Each family can avail treatment benefits up to Rs 5 lakh per annum under the scheme and in case of women family members, the limit is Rs 10 lakh.
