Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today inaugurated the three-day long ninth State-level students’ festival ‘SARGIFUL’ -2018 and also laid foundation stone for ‘Janajati Haat’ (Tribal Haat) at the Adivasi Padia (Tribal Exhibition Ground) here.
Stared in 2010, ‘SARGIFUL’ is an annual event organised with an objective to explore the hidden talent of ST & SC Students reading in the ST & SC Development Department Schools. The mega event will conclude on December 21.
This year, at least 925 students of State-run ST & SC schools and 142 teachers from all the 30 districts have participated in the event.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister that over 6 lakh children have stayed in SC & ST hostels to pursue their studies across the State and the Government is committed for holistic development of them.
The Chief Minister also announced that the Government will set up a full-time ‘Janajati Haat’ (Tribal Market) in the Adivasi Exhibition Ground.
