Bhubaneswar, Jan 8: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has hiked the exit allowance of Anganwadi workers on Saturday. According to the declaration, Anganwadi workers who were getting an exit allowance of Rs 20,000 earlier, will get Rs 40,000 at the age of 62 years. Similarly, the mini-Anganwadi workers will avail Rs 30,000 exit allowance instead of Rs 15,000. While, the Anganwadi helpers will get Rs 20,000 as exit allowance, which was Rs 10,000 earlier. At the same time, the Anganwadi workers will be sanctioned medical leaves with an honorarium. These benefits will be effectively implemented from the last January 2019. As many as 1991 Anganwadi workers who have exited duly will be benefited from the decisions, said a CMO official.
