Bhubaneswar, March 26: Chief of Army Staff General Upendra Dwivedi, has arrived in Odisha’s Capital City Bhubaneswar on Friday.

General Dwivedi is on his 3-day official visit to Odisha during which he will review national safety & security along with a slew of programs in the state.

During his stay in Odisha, General Dwivedy will participate in a series of key programmes across Bhubaneswar, Puri, and Gopalpur, relating to national safety & security.

According to sources, General Dwivedi is scheduled to visit Puri in the evening.During his stay at Puri, he is expected to have darshan and offer prayers at the Jagannath Temple.

Following his Puri visit, the Army Chief will leave for Gopalpur to visit the Army Air Defence College. There, he will review training infrastructure, modern equipment, and operational preparedness of the forces.

General Dwivedi is also slated to interact with serving Army personnel and veterans during his stay. Additionally, a live firing demonstration and display of advanced military equipment will be held at a field firing range in presence of General Dwivedi.

After concluding his engagements in Odisha, the Army Chief will return to New Delhi on March 29.
