Chief Justice of Orissa High Court inaugurates three sub-ordinate courts

Cuttack, Sep 1: Chief Justice of the Orissa High Court, S. Muralidhar has dedicated three lower courts through video conferencing on Thursday. The Chief Justice inaugurated family courts at Deogarh and Jharsuguda and Additional District and Sessions Court at Kantamal in Boudh district. In the miniature occasion held for the purpose, higher dignitaries including Justice Arindam Sinha, Justice K.R Mohapatra, Justice Savitri Ratho along with other judiciary officials were present at the video conference interface. Chief Justice, S. Muralidhar said that the collective efforts of judges, judicial officers, members of the bar and other stake holders contributed to keep the wheels of justice moving by accelerating the disposal of cases despite the pandemic. He emphasized the judges of the family court can exercise their skills in the disposal of cases by prioritising mediation and conciliation in the best interests of the children and the family. He is hopeful that the newly inaugurated Additional District and Sessions Judge Court at Kantamal would meet the expectations of the people of the locality of fair and speedy justice which is dependent upon the whole hearted efforts of both the bar and the bench.
