Kalahandi, Jan 20: The Chhattisgarh Police today seized two tiger skins and arrested two smugglers of Kalahandi district.
The arrested have been identified as Ramesh Nayak of Jharbandh village under the Junagarh police limits and Keshab Majhi of Naktikani village under the Golamunda police limits in the district.
According to reports, the police received intelligence that the tiger skins were being smuggled. Later, the police laid a trap and arrested the two smugglers from Dhupkot village under Debhog police limits in Chhattisgarh.
The police have seized two tiger skins from them. However, the estimated value of the seized tiger skin is Rs 10 lakh, said Gariabandh SP Bhojram Patel.
