Raipur, August 1:The Chhattisgarh government on Saturday announced an ex gratia of Rs 20 lakh each for the families of two migrant workers from the state who were killed in a terrorist attack in Jammu and Kashmir's Kulgam district.

The victims, identified as Deepak Ratre from Sakti district and Bhupendra Bhaina from Sarangarh-Bilaigarh district, were both in their 20s. They were shot dead by terrorists at the brick kiln where they worked in the Kelam area of south Kashmir's Kulgam district on Friday evening.

Expressing grief over the incident, Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai strongly condemned the attack, describing the killing of innocent civilians as a crime against humanity. He said such acts of terrorism have no place in a civilised society and assured all possible support to the bereaved families.
