Cuttack, Nov 12: A large number of devotees congregated at Baba Dhabaleswar shrine to witness his ‘Chandrachud Besha'.
It is a widely held belief that visiting Lord Shiva on this day brings immense spiritual merit, offering devotees the promise of mental peace and the blessings of millions of past lives.
According to sources, the priests have opened the temple gates at 3 am, initiating the ritual with the ceremonial bathing of the deity using 108 pots of sacred water. Following the completion of all rituals, the doors were opened for devotees to pay their obeisance.
The devotees were seen in a long queue to take a glimpse of the lord. The administration had made elaborate arrangements to ensure hassle-free conduct of rituals for devotees. Moreover, security has been beefed up at the temple as the rush of devotees is expected to increase.
The temple is bustling with devotees eager to glimpse the Lord, with many traveling from far and wide to participate in the rituals.
