New Delhi, Nov 19: While addressing the nation on Friday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced that the Centre will repeal the three new farm laws.
Modi said that the laws will be repealed by the end of the month in the Winter Session of Parliament.
PM Modi said that it was unfortunate that despite the government’s intentions to empower the farmers, many of them were not convinced about the benefits of the laws. So the government has decided to repeal the three farm laws.
The Prime Minister said “Today I have come to tell you, the whole country, that we have decided to withdraw all three agricultural laws. In the Parliament session starting later this month, we will complete the constitutional process to repeal these three agricultural laws”.
PM has also announced that the government will make a new committee with state and central representatives experts which will work upon a new framework.
