CBI raids in Odisha’s Vedanta Alumina in connection with Karti Chidambaram’s money laundering

Jharsuguda, May 17: Crime Bureau of Investigation(CBI) has conducted raids at Vedanta Alumina in Odisha’s Jharsuguda district on Tuesday in connection with Karti Chidambaram’s money laundering case.
A team of the CBI raided in the Captive Power Plant(CPP) unit of the plant in order to substantiate the involvement of P Chidambaram and his son, Karti for allegedly manipulating the provision of VISA to some citizens of China who were working with the Vedanta under the aegis of SEPCo.
On the other hand, the Vedanta authorities reportedly co-operated in the investigation in every way.
