Case registered against 14 ABVP members for defying COVID-19 norms during protest against amendment Of Odisha Universities Act

Bhubaneswar, Sep 30: Commissionerate Police today booked as many as 14 activists of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) for taking out a rally protesting against Odisha Universities (Amendment) Ordinance 2020 today. Police said that the activists under the leadership of Sanjay Malik and Prasanta Paikray congregated at Master Canteen junction unlawfully and took out a rally up to Lower PMG. “They have taken out the rally without permission of competent authority violating the social distancing norms and COVID-19 guidelines. We have registered a case against them and further investigation in the case is continuing,” said a police official.
