Career counselling at Rama Devi Women's University for better future prospects of girls

Bhubaneswar, 20 April : A Career Counselling programme was held at Rama Devi Women’s University organized by Mo College Abhijan on Wednesday. At least 300 girl students attended the session in order to groom their career during the academics. Chief Guest Akash Dasnayak, Chairperson Mo College Abhijan while addressing the audience said, “To achieve success, it is imperative to have fixed goals in life and one must work hard to achieve them. Career Counselling helps students find their calling and gather the motivation to walk on the chosen path. It is our duty as well as a privilege to impart the mantra of success with all the students present here.” Eminent author and Guest of Honour Dr. Bhagban Prakash stressed on the fact that being successful in life often depends on finding the right career. Key Speaker Debendranath Rout, Educationist, Columnist and Chairman ‘The Intellects’ said, “Children in the rural belt are sometimes deprived of information and guidance. But career counselling is open for all. Hence students must avail the opportunity as right counselling is very important for a bright career ahead.” Career Counselling expert Dr. Sushant Kumar Dash, said, “Change is inevitable but facing change with determination is the need of the hour. Focus on your life’s goal and career counselling will show you the right way to achieve it.” Prof Sasmita Mohanty, Vice Chancellor (I/C) and Chairperson PG Council opined “Exploring the right career opportunity is of utmost importance. Get involved in your dreams and turn it into reality.” Registrar Shyamali Mohapatra stated, “Mo College is a unique effort of the Govt of Odisha. All the students of R.D. Women’s University must persevere on the path to their career and follow it with dedication. I thank Mo College Abhijan for helping us to explore new aspects of career with such an event." Dr. Sayantani Behura compered the program while Dr. Snehalata Das proposed the vote of thanks. Renowned Singer Susmita Das was present in the event as a Role Model for the girls. Dr. Debabala Swain, Career Counselling Cell (I/C) was present during the session along with other faculty members.
