Bhubaneswar, August 23: At least 10 passengers were injured, including two who sustained critical injuries, after a passenger bus overturned near the Bandalo (Manguli) Toll Gate on National Highway 16 in Cuttack on Sunday.
According to reports, the bus, named‘Shri Ganesh’, was travelling from Jajpur to Bhubaneswar when it reportedly rammed into a divider at the Bandalo toll gate and overturned.
Following the accident, personnel from Tangi police and the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) rushed to the spot and initiated rescue operations. The injured passengers were later taken toSCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttackfor treatment.
More than 40 passengers were reportedly on board the bus at the time of the accident. While 10 passengers sustained injuries, the condition of two of them was stated to be critical.
The two critically injured passengers were shifted to SCB Medical College and Hospital in an NHAI ambulance for specialised medical treatment.
