Bhubaneswar, Oct 2: Two persons have been arrested for raping a woman in her apartment at Maitree Vihar area in the city late on Sunday night, police said.
According to Maitree Vihar police, the two burglars entered into the apartment through the balcony door and stole valuables and her ornaments.
Upon finding the woman alone with her baby, they allegedly gang-raped her at knifepoint and threatened to harm her child if she raised an alarm.
The burglars locked the door from the outside, and fled the scene. The following morning, the woman sought help from her neighbours and immediately went to file a police complaint.
Police launched an investigation into the matter taking CCTV footage of the nearby areas and managed to nab them on Tuesday night.
