Bhubaneswar, Feb 14: The ongoing Budget Session of the Odisha Assembly witnessed an uproarious scene on Monday after the opposition BJD and Congress created a ruckus over several issues.
As soon as the house assembled for the day, the members of the BJD created ruckus over the alleged deteriorating law and order situation in the state and raised slogans. Similarly, Congress members staged a protest over rising crimes against women in the state. Pandemonium prevailed in the house as the members of both the Opposition parties jumped into the well and created ruckus.
As the pandemonium prevailed, Speaker Surama Padhy, unable to run the house, adjourned the proceedings till 12:15 PM.
It is worth mentioning that the Budget session, which began on February 13, will continue till April 5 in two phases – February 13 to February 21 and March 7 to April 5, 2025.
