Brown sugar worth over Rs 1 crore seized by STF in Odisha

Bhubaneswar, Jan 26: The Special Task Force (STF) of Crime Branch on Monday seized brown sugar weighing 1.14 kilograms and arrested one person in Bhadrak. The STF conducted a raid near Chandbali and nabbed one Mir Minhaj Quadri of Sankarnagar in Bhadrak. The agency found the brown sugar from the possession. Police said that the market value of the seized contraband would be more than Rs 1.1 crore. “During last 25 days STF has conducted raids at various places and detected as many as four cases against drug peddlers including the recent one. STF has arrested three accused and also seized a total of 2 kg 552 grams of brown sugar and 2000 Kg of ganja,” said an official.
