Brajarajnagar bypoll: Heavyweights to hit campaign trail

Jharsuguda, May 12: With the end of the nomination process for the Brajarajnagar bypoll, the political parties have decided to intensify their campaign to woo the voters. Several political heavyweights will descend to garner votes in favour of their respective candidates. While several ministers, MPs and MLAs of the ruling BJD will camp in the constituency to ensure the winning of Alaka Mohanty, three Union Ministers from Odisha and other senior BJP leaders will campaign for former MLA Radharani Panda. On the other hand, the Congress has decided to recruit the service of ministers and other senior leaders from neighbouring Chhattisgarh. Besides, state senior leaders will campaign for party candidate Kishore Chandra Patel. The election to the bypoll, which was necessitated following the death of Kishore Mohanty, will be held on May 31.
