Boudh, April 18: In response to the prevailing heatwave conditions and a Red Warning issued by the India Meteorological Department, the district administration in Boudh has ordered the closure of all Anganwadi Centres (AWCs), schools, colleges, and technical institutions from April 18 to April 22, until further orders.
However, examinations scheduled during this period will continue and may be conducted in the morning hours. Authorities have directed heads of institutions to ensure adequate drinking water facilities and implement necessary heatwave safety measures for students and staff.
Notably, in Bolangir district, all educational institutions have already been closed from April 18 to April 21 due to rising temperatures. The decision was taken by the District Collector following a sharp increase in daytime heat, with officials stating that the move aims to safeguard students from extreme weather conditions.
