Keonjhar, Oct 18: Police on Monday arrested prime accused Raghunath Panda for hurling country-made bombs on BJP's Keonjhar sadar MLA Mohan Majhi’s vehicle on Sunday last week. Earlier, five people were arrested in this connection. The five accused have been identified as Pratap Rout, Bidyadhar Parida alias Buta, Manmohan Das alias Muna, Sarat Chandra Jena alias Mitua and Sikhul Sheikh. The police have also seized two crude bombs and a motorcycle from the accused. The accused were booked under IPC Section 307 and under the Explosive Substance Act and Arms Act. Worth mentioning, bombing on the legislator was the fallout of a previous animosity related to financial dealings and personal issues with Bidyadhar Parida and Manmohan Das. They had tried to attack the MLA previously but somehow it could not materialise. Three months ago, the accused persons hatched another conspiracy and attacked Mohan Majhi on October 10.
