Board of Secondary Education readies for offline HSC exam

Cuttack, July 28: Board of Secondary Education Odisha is all set to conduct the offline High School Certificate examination from July 30. As many as 15,191 examinees will appear in the examination in 504 centres for improvisation of their score in the alternative evaluation. Accordingly, the Board of Secondary Education authorities has almost readied all logistics to conduct the examination amid Covid protocols. A preparatory meeting has been convened in the chair of the Board President Ramashis Hajra in which vivid discussions were undertaken to adhere to Covid-19 norms throughout the examination process. Meanwhile, 278 centres for the regular students and 226 centres for the students including State Open Schooling and and Sanskrit Madhyama have been well sanitized. In order to maintain social distance in the exam, seat allotments have been arranged for only 12 students in a hall. On the other hand, all the Centre Superintendents, invigilators and their teams have been vaccinated ahead of the examination, said Hajra. Notably, the examination for the Regular ones and Madhyama will be concluded on the 5th of August. While, the Certificate examination for Open School students is scheduled to last up to August six.
