BMC rolls out E-waste pickup van in association with Indus-ind bank

Bhubaneswar, April 22: Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) on Friday rolled out an E-Waste pickup van. BMC Mayor, Sulochana Das flagged off the E-waste van made over by the Indus-ind bank in the afternoon. The mobile E-waste carriage will collect E-wastes from offices, malls, shopping centers, apartments and other residential areas. The waste will be later managed scientifically by the BMC in collaboration with the Indus-ind bank authorities after salvaging it separately. {"id":179365,"width":835,"height":610,"sizeSlug":"full","linkDestination":"none"} During the flag-off ceremony, Mayor Sulochana Das said, E-waste management in the cities has been emerged as a big challenge for the urban body authorities. However, the BMC will manage e-wastes in public-private partnership (PPP) mode.
