BMC gets allies for awareness drive against Covid-19

Bhubaneswar, Mar 24: Besides regular intensive awareness and sensitization programme of Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) in four tableaus new allies are joining to make the initiative more citizen friendly thereby targeting behavior change to prevent Covid-19. Today,ChildFund in collaboration with Information and Public Relations Department ,Odia Language Literature & Culture (OLL&C) Department and UNICEF launched Stage on Wheel, to promote hand hygiene, Covid-19 appropriate behaviors (CAB) and the vaccination drive in Bhubaneswar. This campaign is flagged off by AbaniKantaPatnaik, Additional Commissioner, Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) and Dipjyoti Sundaray, Senior Manager ChildFund at the BMC office, Bhubaneswar in the presence of ChildFund and BMC staff. Under this campaign, a publicity van has started its move to cover Bhubaneswar urban areas for 5 days starting from today. The tableau is creating awareness in traditional folk format PALA where the team is targeting promotion of prevention behavior, motivation on being immunized against Covid-19 . Team BMC is guiding the team for performance in public /market places. The performance through its composed songs is disseminating three critical messages such as wearing mask, following physical distancing & maintaining hand hygiene and participating in safe vaccination drive.
