BLUIS strikes Gold for Odisha Government

Bhubaneswar, Dec 14: Bhubaneswar Land Use Intelligence System (BLUIS), a satellite surveillance device developed and practised by Odisha Government is going to strike a ‘Gold’ award as an innovative e-Governance mechanism. Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has informed it on the official  Twitter handle on Tuesday. Expressing happiness for the accomplishment, Naveen has congratulated the Science and Technology Department and ORSAC for their innovation in the field of safeguarding government's land repository. The Tweet said, BLUIS has been selected to receive ‘Gold’ award under Category V-Excellence in adopting emerging technologies at National Awards for e-Governance 2020-21. BLUIS is a geo-tagged repository of all the government lands in Bhubaneswar, created through high resolution satellite imagery to detect even the fine changes taking place on government lands. Naveen Patnaik had rolled out the advance technology ,BLUIS in the state on July 9 in 2020 to protect government owned lands from illegal encroachments. {"id":153618,"sizeSlug":"large","linkDestination":"none"}
