New Delhi, May 7: A day after Delhi BJP leader Tajinder Bagga was arrested by Punjab Police, party workers protested outside the home of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. Delhi police on Friday afternoon brought Bagga back to the national capital after the Haryana police handed him over. A special branch of the police was activated to provide security around the Chief Minister's home in anticipation of the protest, news agency ANI reported. Visuals showed that hundreds of BJP workers were shouting slogans outside Kejriwal's home, surrounded by police barricades. BJP has accused the AAP of using the Punjab Police to target political rivals and critics of Kejriwal. Worth mentioning, in a dramatic way Punjab police team that arrested BJP leader Tajinder Pal Singh Bagga from his Delhi residence on Friday morning was stopped en route to Mohali by Haryana cops after the Delhi police registered a kidnapping case based on a complaint by Mr Bagga’s father. Haryana police surrounded the Punjab police vehicle carrying Bagga and escorted them off the highway to a police station in Kurukshetra and called the Delhi police as well. Punjab police arrested the BJP leader on charges of making provocative statements, promoting religious enmity, and criminal intimidation.  Bagga’s father Preet Pal has complained before Delhi police that around 10-15 cops entered their home, punched him and dragged his son out to take him to Punjab.
