Bhubaneswar, Sept 29: BJP National President JP Nadda on Thursday arrived at the capital city Bhubaneswar.
Nadda, who is on a two-day visit to Odisha, received a rousing welcome by Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, BJP National Vice President Baijayant Jay Panda, and other senior party leaders after he landed at Biju Patnaik International Airport.
The saffron party has planned a mega event at the Janata Maidan here to showcase power ahead of the 2024 general and Odisha Assembly elections where Nadda will address around 20,000 booth-level party workers who are expected to assemble.
Following this, the BJP chief will then move to Puri and have darshan of Lord Jagannath tomorrow. He is then scheduled to meet the family members of late Bishnu Sethi in Bhadrak.
Later, he will again return to Janata Maidan and address members of several Morchas of the party and have discussions with the core team of the Odisha BJP at the party office before leaving for Delhi.
Elaborate security arrangements including separate parking arrangements have been made by the Commissionerate Police for Nadda’s visit. A total of 25 platoons of police force have been deployed to deal with any kind of untoward situation.
