The party legislators had boycotted the discussion on the adjournment over the issue and later lodged silent protest in a unique way by tying black handkerchief on their mouth and putting black napkin around their neck. Subsequently, they have been sitting on dharna near the Mahatma Gandhi statue for the last two days. Today, they met the Governor and lodged their protest over the issue. {"id":20591,"sizeSlug":"large"} “They (BJP legislators) do have the right to air their grievances before the Governor. But they are not coming to the assembly intentionally. They are doing this only to remain in media glare”, said the BJD chief whip. “BJP is thinking that it is only it, not the government, is thinking about the people. This mindset is wrong. Will the assembly run as per the Rules, or on the whims of BJP”, she questioned.
